Individual Adult Counseling
What is it that you would like to change?
People come to counseling because they want something to be different in their lives. Counseling offers an opportunity to explore one's thoughts, feelings and behaviors and work towards change. Counseling can be a way of healing, a process of self-discovery or an effort to resolve a specific problem. While the specific issues clients bring to counseling vary widely, the goal will always be to bring about positive change.
Counseling can be a very rewarding experience for those who participate in it. In addition to resolution of the specific concerns that led you to therapy, counseling can lead to a better understanding of yourself, improved relationships, increased self-confidence, a better balance in your life and a greater overall sense of well-being.
Some of the issues that clients bring to counseling include:
- depression
- anxiety and panic
- stress
- grief and loss
- trauma-related issues
- relationship issues
- life transitions
- self-doubt and insecurity
- career or work-related issues
- chronic illness
- parenting issues
- concentration difficulties
- perfectionism
- unhealthy patterns in thinking and behaving
- personal growth
- women's issues
- weight loss and management
